Commercial Sketches

The commercial will start out with the intro of the logo in a creative way then the bike in the logo will take off and leave the screen in a cloud of dust.

The bike will cruse into the next screen and in the cloud of dust behind the bike it will explain the flexibility of the bamboo used in the bike. The bike will then ride out of the screen.

The next screen the bike will ride in and in the cloud behind the tire it will explain the sustainability of bamboo. The bike will then exit the screen.

The bike will then ride into the next screen and the cloud behind the tire will explain how strong bamboo is and why it should be used in making bikes. I have arrows showing the wheels are moving the whole time while on the screen. This will take place in all the shots. The bike will then exit. 

The bike will ride into the next screen and in the dust cloud it will explain the durability of bamboo. The bike will then exit the screen.

The end will show the bike cruising back into its spot on the logo and on the top of the screen I will have the web address and at the bottom of the screen I will show the facebook address.

This is my letterhead. I kept it simple and clean.

Business Card

This is my business card. I made the bamboo plants that are on the front and back of the card in illustrator. I tried to keep the card fresh and organic looking since this is the image bamboo bikes is trying to portray.

Card Sketches

This is my first logo sketch. I have a bamboo stalk and the logo will be placed within the bamboo leaf.

In this design I put a bicycle and the name bamboo at the top left corner.

In this design I have the logo in the middle of the business card and then the background is a bunch of bamboo stalks all together.

In this I have put the logo in the middle and some of my information just below the logo.

In this design I put the logo in the middle with 2 separate stalks of bamboo on either side of the logo.

Bicyclists. The environmentally conscious. City Dwellers. Athletes.

Who are your competitors?
Raleigh. Trek. Schwinn. Huffy.

What makes them better/worse than your product/service?
What makes these companies better right now than my product/service is they are heavily branded companies. Some of these companies have been around going on 100 years. They have a wide variety of bike styles and vendor facilities. What makes my company better is the fact that our bikes are super light weight and environmentally friendly. If you live in a city like New York this would be the bike to get because of the ultra mobility factor. They can be easily broken down and manually carried up and down stairs or wherever they need to be transported.

How do you want your image to be seen in two years?
I want bamboo bikes to be the first company that comes to mind when somebody mentions environmentally friendly bicycle. I want our logo to be known world wide by all bike enthusiasts. I also want to have advertisements in every major corresponding source.

If your company was an animal, what animal would it be and why?
My company would be a Panda bear. The reason it would be a Panda bear is because they eat bamboo and my company consumes bamboo to create our bicycles. Bamboo is the life force for both the panda and the bamboo bikes company.

If your company/brand was a person, who would it be and why?
Keanu Reeves, because he pays Neo from the matrix and Neo was the chosen one. Bamboo bikes will be the one company to choose when purchasing an environmentally conscious a bike.

If your company/brand was an object, what would it be?
A bamboo bike, because they are environmentally friendly. They are lightweight and durable.

If your customer was a cartoon character, who would it be?
My character would be Kung Fu Panda. Kung Fu Panda is fresh cool and funny. He defended what he thought was true and correctly. Just like bamboo bikes is on a path to protect mother earth. Both are working on protecting a good cause.

Collage

I knew from the beginning I wanted to do a Beatles song for my lyrics. I ended up deciding on doing the song Yellow Submarine because I liked the idea of putting a yellow submarine in an ocean and creating the collage in an under water setting. I ran into a challenge when deciding how to do the "We all live in" part of the song. Because of this, I consequently ended up inserting the submarine in space and inserting Earth inside the submarine signifying that we are all living inside the yellow submarine. I then found an image of a bubble to put the words into. I enjoyed the project and my image makes me think of a CD cover.

Vector Image

I was on www.fastcompany.com and I came across this building that had a cool architectural design. I like how the building has a lot of high peaks. The bright red building really stands out and this is what made me want to design it.

This is my vector image. I feel it looks fairly similar to the picture.

This was my first attempt using the pen tool. It took me a while to make a good boomerang but I eventually figured it out.

Logo Examples

I think this logo is absolutely brilliant. I love when logos have a hidden image in them. If you notice between the EX there is a forward arrow. To me the arrow represents something being delivered. The colors are simple and fresh. The whole logo itself is smart and to the point.



I also like this logo a lot. To me its sleek, powerful, and very identifiable. The colors are outstanding. Red white and blue is patriotic to many different countries. I like how the 2 icons above and below the word Pepsi make the white space look like a wave.



This logo almost makes your mouth start to water. To me it is so identifiable and almost looks like a candy bar with the colors. I love how the logo is exactly like the candy bar packaging making it even more recognizable.


Nike is the best shoe company out there when it comes to branding their image. This logo is so simple yet everyone knows it. I read that the person who drew this logo was a graphic design student who was frustrated about not having a fresh "new" logo so she quickly drew this check mark on a piece of paper and from that day the "swoosh" was born.



I really like the zippo logo because of the font that is used. It seems to just glide together and it looks very fresh and neat. The Z stand with the flame on top looks great. The flame is extremely simple also but you can definitely identify that it is a flame. These are my favorite logos when they have that little image inside of them to set them off.

Bamboo Bikes

A company that makes bikes that are made of bamboo. Bamboo is a strong, durable, and fairly easy to obtain. They will be cost effective and environmentally friendly. This will be a great bike for innercity riding because they are very light. If you get to your apartment or work you can easily pick it up and take it up stairs or carry it wherever you need to be.

QR Products

This company will strive to attach a QR Code onto every product. Each product that has a QR Code on it will be put on our database and when you scan a QR Code it will automatically open the QR Product application on your smart phone and give you an option to learn more about the product or purchase

Projection Watch

A company that produces watches which have the ability to project an image onto any surface. The watch will be able to upload files from a computer through either hardwire or bluetooth. This way you will always have the ability to project images/videos onto the wall.

Air Tubes

A company that makes tubing systems for houses being built. The client will be able to choose any room they want in their house to have items delivered through compressed air or partial vacuum system. The tube system will allow individuals to not have to travel in order to get whatever items they have stored in the vault.

Clip Vison

A company which creates monitors you can clip onto the brim of a hat. This monitor can be a variety of sizes. When you clip the monitor on it will hang over you eyes/face. This will make travel more entertaining. The best part about it is it will be hands free and cheaper than purchasing a tablet.

My name is Dustin, I am from Menomonee Falls Wisconsin. I am a marketing major and advertising minor and currently a Junior.
